加拿大大部分地区气温暴跌，其中多伦多的体感温度将跌至零下40摄氏度，而马尼托巴北部／更跌至零下50摄氏度。如果在户外暴露皮肤，会在10分钟内冻伤。
多伦多市政府开放临时避寒中心，让露宿者入住。
